특히 후원자분들에게 중요한 공지이기에, 8월 결제를 앞두고 꼭 읽어주셨으면 합니다.

결론부터 말씀드리자면, 저는 pixiv FANBOX의 활동을 가을 중, 빠르면 그 이전으로 폐쇄할 예정입니다.

먼저 사과의 말씀 드립니다. 죄송합니다.

제 그림 게시물의 글까지 읽어보셨던 분들이라면 아시겠지만, 저는 꽤나 약속을 지키는 법이 없습니다. 언제는 이런거 더 그려보겠다, 이런거 앞으로 좀 더 올려보겠다, fanbox 업로드 비중이 올라갈꺼다... 등, 당장 이전 11호 게시물만 해도 'pixiv 업로드를 줄일 것 같으니 fanbox에 낙서와 작업물이 올라오는 일이 있을꺼다...'라고 써놨습니다.

이런 제 행동의 기반에는, 염치없게 들리실 수 있으나 fanbox에 대한 부담감이 있었습니다. 입이 번지르르한 것에 비해 막상 공개적 게시물에는 fanbox 홍보가 없고, 페이지에 순수 후원목적으로 구독하시는 것을 추천드린다고 적어놓은 것처럼, 저는 괜찮은 후원물을 내놓을 자신이 없었습니다. 그래서 매번 업로드하면서도 '너무 부족한데' '다음에는 꼭 이런것도 올려야겠다'라는 즉흥적이라고밖에 보여지지 않는 다짐이 섞여 그런 결과로 이어진 것 같습니다. 다시한번 죄송하다는 말씀 드립니다.

저를 정말 순수 후원목적으로 후원하고 계신 분들도 계심에도, 제 성격 상 fanbox 유지 자체가 저에게 어떤 형태이든 부담감이 되고, 또한 최근 뼈저리게 느끼게 된 문제점인 '발전없이 기계적으로 그리는 것'의 적지만 영향을 미치는 것 같아 이런 결정을 내리게 되었습니다.

제 공백기(군복무)에도, 아무런 업로드가 없었음에도 꾸준히 후원을 해주신 분들이 계신 것도 알고있습니다. 정말 감사합니다.

아무래도 창작을 영원히 놓지는 않을 것 같습니다. fanbox를 폐쇄한다고 하여 창작을 그만두는 것은 아니니 그 점은 걱정하지 않으셔도 됩니다. 더욱 창작자 저 본인의 발전에 집중하고자 하는 결정이라 생각해주시면 감사하겠습니다.

죄송하고 항상 감사하다는 말씀 드리며, 8월에는 소량의 게시물들과 과거 삭제되었던, pixiv 등지에 올렸던 예전 그림들을 중심으로 올린 뒤 9월 중순에서 말 이전 fanbox계정은 폐쇄하도록 하겠습니다.

Hello, this is Oddsnail.

This is an important notice for all my supporters, and I kindly ask you to read it before the upcoming August billing cycle.

To get straight to the point, I plan to shut down my pixiv FANBOX activities sometime in the fall—possibly even sooner.

First and foremost, I would like to offer my sincere apologies.

If you've ever read the captions or notes accompanying my artwork, you may already know that I haven’t been very good at keeping my promises. I’ve often said things like “I’ll draw more of this,” “I’ll upload things like this more regularly,” or “There’ll be more updates on FANBOX.” Even in my most recent post of Soldier 11, I wrote, “I might post more sketches and works in progress here as I upload less to pixiv.”

Underlying this inconsistency—though this may sound like an excuse—was a growing sense of pressure and discomfort related to running FANBOX. Despite the polished words I’ve occasionally used, I’ve never actively promoted my FANBOX and even stated on the page that it is intended for purely voluntary support. The truth is, I never felt confident that I could provide rewards truly worth the subscription. This insecurity often led to spontaneous and vague commitments like “I’ll do better next time,” which I failed to follow through on. I deeply regret this and want to apologize again.

Although I know some of you have been supporting me out of genuine goodwill with no expectations in return, maintaining this platform has continued to weigh on me emotionally. Moreover, I’ve recently come to recognize another issue: that FANBOX, even in small ways, has contributed to a kind of mechanical, uninspired drawing process—creating without growth. That’s why I’ve decided to step away from it.

I also want to acknowledge those of you who continued your support even during my long hiatus (due to military service), when there were no updates at all. Thank you—truly.

I don’t think I’ll ever stop drawing altogether. Ending FANBOX does not mean I’m quitting art. Rather, it’s a step I’m taking to focus more on personal growth as a creator. I hope you can understand this decision in that light.

With heartfelt gratitude and apologies, I’ll be posting a few final updates in August—consisting of some older works previously deleted or shared on pixiv—and will then close the account around the end of September.
