She had a broken relationship with him after her parents divorced and was in bad terms with him for years until the recent past few years where it’s been reconciled gradually. The story of this era (Brighter Days Ahead/Eternal Sunshine) is basically about Peaches (Ari) and her divorce and then her finding new love with someone else and so forth. In Eternal Sunshine we see Peaches (Ari) getting her memories swiped that she had specifically of her and her then husband. What we don’t see after, her We can’t be friends mv, is her getting some memories saved. So as years go by she’s already old and goes back to revisit her saved memories the happier memories to be exact, we don’t know if it’s because Peaches is close to passing or not but point is she’s going back to revisit her most cherished memories that she wanted saved. In those memories saved the 1st of the four, is of her family members and herself being younger and happy, everyone alive and together. 4:45 The 2nd memory is of her in her prime time and age singing and composing her music in studio 6:41 and then being able to perform in concert as well 9:06 (footage from Sweetener tour is used). As for her 3rd memory it’s of her revisiting her moment when she realized or realizes she’s facing divorce because she’s alone 10:44 and what was supposed to be a marriage/ partnership or union with her husband, it felt and was basically the opposite of it, she was alone and everything about it was only just crumbling apart. So the house was a wreck because her marriage was a wreck (basically the house is her marriage) and that is a moment of a mix of emotions like peace specifically, because you’ve come to terms that the reality is what is. If that makes sense… as she walks out of the house (remember we don’t know her personal life behind those four walls) so as she walks out 12:39 all that the media “knows” and fans know is a mix of lies from the rumors and some truth from other sources. It’s just chaos and a Warzone at that point when she’s walking out the house. Because at that point when we see her out her house out of Cali with a new man in London (Supernatural being about her new man) people are all going crazy talking bad about them and tearing them apart into pieces. But she just continues walking towards the ufo since it’s all that she’s focused on. You can see the ufo as either her new man or her new job which was when she was working on Wicked. Shes unbothered by the chaos (the media and fans). 14:52 This third memory is her happy memory because she was at peace and happier coming out of a marriage that wasn’t working out anymore and she’s doing what she wants to with her career and her love life. The last and 4th memory is of her dad in the mv lore and irl literally saving her life after all the (chaos) 18:46 she endured during and after her divorce. The media and some fans really did tear her down and her father was one of the most important people in her life that was there to support her in that entire timeline. So we see her dad bringing her back to life after picking up her pieces and putting her back together again with of course music. Not only did he and music bring her back to life but they reconnected and fixed their relationship as well. Family and music is her happiness. All the things that she loves. In the end 22:23 we see the aged Peaches (Ari) with her stitches removed, satisfied with her preserved memories. She lived a long life though it had some bumps and bruises along the way, we see she did have some very good valuable memories too. It ends with her younger self saying that line of us living like it’s the last day of our lives, because we should, despite the hardships we face, we should all try to live joyously, lovingly and kindly. Never taking life for granted. Enjoy our lives and time with our friends and family, pets and lovers… SOMEONE ON YT :)
