I like how out of character and out of the norm they are. You kinda just have to get in the groove and feel the vibe that she's looking to convey. I love the melodies in blazed I think they're so fun and you can dance to them and it just feels like the start of a good day. And the light is coming is honestly just a bop like I love playing it in the gym and these two might have been experimental back then but you see a lot of songs with inspiration from them.

It's SOOOOO crazy how time can change an opinion. I was 14 when I first watched your Sweetener reaction and I remember being so upset that you didn't like it. Ariana has always been my top girl until last year when I started listening to Taylor. After enjoying Taylor, I found a new love for songwriting and song structure. I also am no longer drawn to radio music in the way that Ariana always goes for the trap. Though, I still love this projects diversity and experimentation, on a casual day most songs are a skip for me. I really wish Ariana would get more vulnerable with her projects and start singing, not speaking.

I simply love this album. I think it was the album that gave Ariana her artistic vision. It's an album about lighting up your life and seeking light, in difficult situations. For me, it's an experimental album that brings innovation and prominence to Ariana's discography compared to previous albums that were commercial to the extreme. On this album we see that Ariana started to use her voice more and explore her lower tone, something she didn't allow herself to do before. Tracks like Sucessuful for me are basically accepting your level of social status, without letting it negatively interfere with your life. It's a very 90s R&B album and I just love it. You could tell that Ariana really did something artistically significant when she made this album. I would like to see more albums from her like Sweetener/Thank U Next that are honest, true and with an artistic purpose.

I’m an Ariana stan and Sweetener is my second favorite Ariana album after Thank U, Next! When it first came out though, I remember I hated it! It grew on me after a month and I now love it, but I still don’t like blazed, tlic (although I love it live), borderline, and track 14. I think the main problem with Sweetener is the order of the track list. I think a track list of: raindrops, better off, tlic, blazed, gng, R.E.M, sweetener, giaw, successful, borderline, everytime, breathin, ntltc, gws tells a better story (I purposely left off the original track 14). Sweetener is definitely a comfort album to me and brings me so much joy! I still always listen to it on my way to school whenever I have an exam or have to give a presentation because it always calms me down!

Honestly, Sweetener is one of those albums that have very high highs (breathin, god is a woman, ntltc) but also some low lows (tlic, blazed, successful, borderline). It's more experimental and I appreciate that, but I really didn't love the Pharrell tracks. I only disagree with you on your assessment of goodnight n' go and get well soon, I think those are really good tracks.

Honestly I share a very similar opinion about this album with you. 5 years later, the only song that grew on me was Succesful. The others I keep liking was bc I liked them when I first listened. I just finished your no tears left to cry reaction and I had the same experience with Lana del Rey West Coast, I wasn't vibing it with it at all when i first heard it last year, but out of nowhere I listened to it last week and I fell in love with it, playing it every single day. i have always loved most songs from this album. i completely agree with you Ajay with blazed. its such an awful song. Now the tlic i listen to it when im in a really good dancey mood, it gets me moving. the rest of the album though aged like fine wine for me personally. even tho this is one of my main streamed albums. i felt i relistened for the first time in 5 years and it felt amazing to re-experience these songs

The reason why get well soon is 5mins 22sec is because of the Manchester bombing that happened on 22.05.17 and she said she wanted the song to feel like a hug for anyone struggling with mental health.
