Como un G is especially heartbreaking to listen to after her breakup from her fiancé Rauw Alejandro. Genius has the English translation btw! In the middle of the song where she goes "El querer que se da, ¿dondé acaba?" translates to "the love that is given, where does it go?" followed by, "Si encuentro el tuyo, ya será deuda pagada" which is "if I find yours [heart], it will be a debt paid." She really poured her everything into this song!!! One of my favorites.

it was meant to be a joke, it’s not completely untrue tho. when she released Hentai the common commentary was that the chorus was difficult to understand (mostly because of the english words) and that’s totally fine because it happens all the time. most reggaeton artists have a pronunciation that sometimes makes it hard to understand the lyrics and I think the same thing happens to Rosalia on certain tracks. I’m from Colombia so i’m used to this type of pronunciation and yet I still sometimes have to check the lyrics to understand better and I don’t have a problem with that. I also have to make clear that by saying “us latinos” i wasn’t referring to latinos from the US lol, I meant “we latinos” but english is not my native tongue so sorry for that I think it was a misunderstanding 😞 thanks for your reply tho

G3 N15 is named after her nephew Genís. She wrote it during COVID when she decided to stay in the US to work on her music instead of going to Spain -- severely limiting her ability to see her family. She wrote the song as an apology to her nephew for not seeing him for years and telling him how much she misses him while explaining the harshness and scary parts of the industry (drugs) that overwhelm her in a way that a kid would hopefully understand. The outro is a message she received from her grandma, it's in Catalan, just talking about how God comes first and then family and that she loves her.
