BIG News! (and a new character)

So, as I mentioned before, I have been doing some preliminary work on a new project. Now that I've put more work and thought into it, I feel comfortable sharing more about the game.

The tentative name is Wand Lore, and follows the main character as you return to your home town after years away at college. There, you discover an old family heirloom - a magic wand. Although the wand seems to have a life of its own...

With it, you will make great changes, but most of all to three people. Phoebe, your nerdy step-sister; Ginny, one of Phoebe's annoying friends, renting a room in your family home; and Brandon (seen above), a particularly abrasive coworker.

The main difference between this game and my previous ones, is that the main character will stay male. There will still be TG content, as you can see in the picture above, in the case of Brandon.

I plan to make this in Ren'Py. As Python is my native programming language (the one I learnt first and have most experience in), I'm confident in my ability to make the game work.

As to why I'm telling you this? Well... I plan to put Totally Immersed on hiatus. Now, don't worry, I'm not abandoning it. It's just that with my plans for the story (which I have roughly planned out for the next 3 updates at least), won't be able to be made by me in any reasonable time frame - at least not at my current level of free time, without any coworkers.

My reasons for doing this are serious, and this is not a decision I make lightly. The main problem with Totally Immersed, was that it wasn't nearly as popular as S.L.U.T. Academy (which I will continue to work on!), but needed more time for each update, and I wasn't as proud of the finished product.

With Wand Lore, I think I'll be able to put more into the actual writing. As Ren'Py is much more dependent and friendly to dialogue than RPG Maker, and doesn't require the, often tedious, difficult to balance combat part. I also think the game itself will appeal to a wider audience, while still remaining relevant to my origins on TFGamesSite, as there will be plenty of TF, TG, MC content - but instead, from the male's point of view.
