Call of Cthulhu: The Disintegrator (Post-Game Table Chat)

Sorry to anyone reading, The Melting Man, is part of another series which I don't think is available on Mystery Quest, it's on the Games Night channel. Either way, I seem to recall it made me no longer desire to have dinner.

Steel

Yo Tom, I think you'd be delighted to hear that you made me actually feel sick to my stomach when describing The Melting Man.

Steel

I'm sad that they didn't talk about the "mercy killing". If I'm understanding right what happened, that spell doesn't actually kill people and the guy Pyrion shot would have lived.

Ashley Bassett

I needed to know more about this campaign so this video was rad! I absolutely love CoC, Tom does such an amazing job at creating atmosphere (especially with all the post edit sounds). We all need more CoC ;)

Charles Sturgeon

I hope you guys will play more of Call of Cthulhu. You made me consider getting into it myself (I'm mainly a D&D and Pathfinder player)

YourNeighborKnight

Simon and Lydia have great chemistry! I don't see Ravs and Pyrion very often and they were a fun addition to the group. Thank you SO much for doing this.

I have mixed thoughts on CoC. I think a lot depends on the players. My favorite on the Yogs channel is the 3rd and there are parts that made me laugh so hard in the beginning that I woke my husband up laughing. My husband prefers the first campaign you guys did. We still watch those on a weekly basis, but have a harder time watching the other Yogs CoC.

Amazing session, I've been religiously watching the old Call of Cthulhu sessions this year, so some new content is helping me break my personal groundhog day. Was initially disappointed not to see Tom & Pyrion (the only survivors from the old sessions) play their original characters but quickly grew to adore their characters throughout the campaign & enjoyed the change.

Ward Pearce

This reply makes me so curious

Zack F

That was a great one! Glad to see Yogs Roleplay return in fine form. Highly enjoy the Maggie/Perry interactions, and looking forward to more adventures soon!

Hodhedge

There likely will be!

Mystery Quest

And not sure yet for reoccurring characters. I think I would like to treat it a bit like the yogsquest Cthulhu where the characters are basically the same but each episode can be stand alone.

Mystery Quest

The plan for now is to run a bunch of different one shot games with a rolling cast. But, call of Cthulhu is one of my favorites to play so I'm sure it will be a reoccurring feature. I plan to do a poll soon so patreons and members can vote on what game they would like to see played next.

Mystery Quest

This was amazing. I hope you do more CoC in the future.

MadScientisto

loved this session, looking forward to more!

Wyatt Watson

Maybe. But it kind of sounds like he's going to have to recruit humans to be the hands on the trigger.

Bright Ops

Super excited for more TTRPG content! Love Tom as a Game Master, especially with the behind the scenes videos

Skeletalrose

This was a great series to start the channel, and I'm looking forward to what's to come. Out of curiosity, are there plans to do repeat visits to games or will you be trying to prioritize covering new games? And if you were to return would you try to retain the same "universe" and potentially reuse characters, like the Yogsquest series, or just restart from scratch? I ask mainly because Call of Cthulhu is probably my favourite TTRPG and always love to see more of it with Tom as the Keeper. Either way, love the fact we finally have a proper TTRPG channel!

NialMontana

They never fired it at him. If they had the ending would have been very different.

Mystery Quest

Im sure he has goons deep underground to help him with the Rod.

Mystery Quest

I think it was more the players just decided to bit crazy high for the time and it all escalated from there. Of course maybe Finch didn't believe it was real, or was hoping it wasn't!

Mystery Quest

Something to consider. If Mr Sleep can't be near the rod without being in horrible pain, it can be assumed that lesser shoggoths are likely unable to be near it either. And if using the actual rod would only make it worse... So effectively, Mr Sleep can't really use the rod.

Bright Ops

What did Finch and his friends know about the device or its origin? The fact that Finch gave them such little money makes me think he didn't really believe in the power of the device?

Jonathan Dearden

Can't wait for more

VanBourner

Something I don't understand is, if the rod would have worked on Mister Sleep, what happened when Pyrion tried to use it on him? I thought he shined it on him and it didn't work.

socketface

Great wrap up

What a Mysterious Quest...
