ported my entire FO4 hair pack back to Skyrim, here's some preview ingame shots of the completed work
there's still some stuff missing when compared to the FO4 pack, I only ported the main hairstyles, so some variations or some versions of the hairs that have headwear were not ported. I'm probably not going to be doing those as I don't think they work for Skyrim that well.
I also got to look back a bit on my previous work and yeah ... the first couple of hairs are a bit rough when compared to the later ones, but at least it shows my overall improvement in hairmaking over time.
anyway, long time coming this, I wanted to do it for at least 1 maybe 2 years now, but I always said to myself "I'll do it after I make the next hair" and yeah ... fast forward a couple of hairstyles and it was still not done. Well, it's done now, and at least because all the delays, it's a bit more meaty now when it comes to hair numbers :)
Skyrim wasn't built for hair meshes of this complexity, but most look quite nice, all things considering. The skyrim hair shader is a bit worse off from the FO4 one from what I gathered, but there's not a huge difference. My only real concern with these is that the backside of the hair cards show up darker than the frontfacing so some coloring looks off/ugly. I don't think there's a way to fix this, or at least I don't know of one.
Will be out ... soon, I dunno.
