- Here's the image dump for the now completed armor pieces.
- I said in the last post that I would be making one piece at a time and then releasing as I go, but as soon as I finished the low poly model for the boots I changed my mind and decided to do everything at the same time. It takes a bit longer short term for the first release (sorry about that :( ) but it's faster long term as I can do everything together. It's also more consistent on the texture side between the different pieces, so overall better, more desirable results.
- Low poly model took a bit longer than normal. Since this is something I may want to port to Starfield, I took the time to retopo and join most parts into a single mesh. I don't really do this too often as it's boring and time consuming, but it makes the model a lot easier to manipulate as there are much fewer floating pieces.
- Texture-wise, I tried to keep this mostly clean, with only subtle wear/details to keep to the sci-fi aesthetic. Some areas could use more attention (and some less, might've overdone it in some parts, lol), but I think it came quite nice.
- I'll be getting these ingame tomorrow and releasing the bottom 2 pieces together in a day or 2. Top will follow after, as I resume work on the leftover pieces.
