- this one was a journey ... that probably sounds surprising cause at the end of the day it looks like a very simple asset.
- there is a catch, I wanted a very specific rib knit texture on this, which is quite hard or pretty much impossible to find in any texture library that I've seen and I didn't have one in my own textures. I could've approximated it and it might've been fine, but it wouldn't have looked realistic enough for me, so, I decided to use this opportunity to learn some new tricks and build a texture from scratch completely. This had a bit of a learning curve, the closest I've ever been to this is the Anna beanie I made 1 or 2 years ago, but this one is a lot more complex and realistic in its construction.
- I am very pleased with the results, it looks pretty much exactly how I wanted it to look. I used one of my own real life tank tops as a reference and the end texture is insanely similar. Not perfect, but way better than I thought it would be. The model itself isn't that great, but I focused more on the texture as stated, the model was more of a test bench for it.
- in terms of the actual top, there's one more piece missing, the badge isn't supposed to go on the chest like that, I wanted a badge holder for it. However I did mostly out of curiosity place it there and I like it so I might release this as is for now and make the variant with the badge holder after. That one should be pretty easy to make.
