Project Poll 12

Okay then, hair it is, per the last poll , let's see what we have here :)

I'm not going to keep mentioning how long it would take to make these for each one, general rule of thumb is the longer a hair is, the more complex, difficult and time consuming it becomes, so keep that in mind.

Poll is multi-choice, feel free to pick more than one.

Poll options:

1. Medium straight hairstyle

- Patron suggested some time ago. Nothing really too difficult or exceptional about it, in terms of making the asset, fairly straightforward.

- It has some similarities with my previous one when it comes to texture and feel and I wasn't entirely pleased with that one, so this gives me a chance to try again at making a more straight hairstyle.

2. Mohawk Dreads 

- Another patron suggestion. Not extremely fond of the hairstyle itself, but I've never made dreads so I'm very interested in trying my hand at it. Now, dreads are basically cylinders and that's how you'd make them, but I'll try to push the envelope a bit on that for a bit more realism rather than having just a bunch of boring cylinders coming out of the head.

3. Braided Mohawk

- Last patron suggestion on this poll. I'm not really sure if that's actually braided or what you'd call this hairstyle, I'm not a barber, but ... yeah, I guess it fits .

- Most of what I said on the previous one applies here too. I'm interested in this more for the technical aspect, not necessarily for its looks, since I've never made braids or something like this.

4. Violet Evergarden hairstyle

- An anime style because anime hair is always fun to look at.

- Now, I like this pick for 2 reasons:

1. The style itself isn't bad, it's very fancy and regal and I like the way the red ribbons complement it very much. It also has elements that I'm interested in trying like the braids.

2. But the more practical and interesting reason: There's this long ponytail variation (shown in #2 images) which has an identical front with the double bun variation. With some careful initial texture and model planning, this becomes 2 for the price of 1 ... kinda. There would still be some work to do and it would happen at a later date, but it wouldn't be much trouble to convert and make the ponytail too, since more than half of the work would be done (texture and half front part would be re-used).

5. Curly long/medium hairstyle

- This one is pretty nice and it also falls heavily into the "I'm interested for the technical aspect" like some of the above. I'm not a huge fan of curly hairs like this in general, but some of these styles can be gorgeous.

- However, I'm mostly putting this on here to gauge interest in it. While I'm very interested in it and will likely attempt it at some point, I'd rather not have that point be right now, truth be told. It's up to you though, if you want it now, I'll go for it.

6. Asymmetric short hair 

- No real strong feelings on this one in either direction , technically or looks. It's fine, should be pretty cool.

7. Side-parted long hairstyle 

- Saved the most frightening, imposing and probably the prettiest one for last. That statement should probably encompass my feelings on it without much need for something else xD.

- Haven't been able to find good back and side views for it, but those should at least give the sense of how I'd want it to look, even though they're not entirely accurate. I'll look into it more if it gets picked, though that's true for every other choice as well.
