End of month update

Patreon milestone reached 

I wanted to start this update by thanking for your support, to all who pledged currently and in the past. This page has now passed 100 currently pledged patrons, an amazing feat. I wanted to address this separately, when it happened during the month, but decided to hold out for the end of the month update that is becoming an usual thing now that I think about it.

Back when I started this Patreon page I had 3 milestones or goals for it in mind. The first was reaching 50 patrons by the end of May, the second was reaching 100 by the end of the year. I initially thought pledges were going to be front loaded and if there was any growth at all, it would be a slow burn, but I can definitely see now that my assumption wasn't the case. 

The truth is that this page was an experiment in itself and had an expiration date (the end of the year or roughly that). Before opening it, I was going to retire from modding/3D completely, as the reasons and goals I had when I started no longer seemed achievable or realistic to me and I could no longer justify the huge time investment it took to do it at this point in my life. Patreon was a last-ditch effort to find a new reason to keep it going, to not have all the years invested in it go to waste and to see if there was any real interest in my content and for me to keep releasing it.

The 100 patron milestone that I wanted to reach by the end of the year meant sustainability. It was a number that in mind meant that if it was reached and maintained, that I would commit to running this page indefinitely as reaching it meant there was a clear interest in it. At this point, if this number is sustained and still stands by the end of the year, I guess I pretty much am commited.

I don't have anything special to offer right now, obviously this is way sooner than I planned for, to see this milestone reached now, in July, is unexpected and completely mind blowing. 

Thanks once again and I hope you've been enjoying the releases. From this point on (this month included with the exception of the holster release), everything is directly funded by patrons and wouldn't exist without you, as all of my unreleased assets that I had before opening my Patreon are now out, with the exception of one I think.

Next month(August)

For the next month, the first patron poll project (Rage gloves) will be released. I also have a very small addon to that (a black version with a custom cubemap) that will be released separately. 

I am also going to try and get out the current WIP piece that I posted Sunday, I think, by the end of the month, but I can't promise that it will be out for sure. Mid august is my birthday, I might be taking some time off to travel a bit, not sure on that either, plans aren't set in stone. Nonetheless I will make a solid attempt to get it out, there's decent progress on it and I am confident that I'll be able to, but once again it's not 100%.

If all goes well, that will mean another 3 releases for August which seems to be a good sweet spot for me.
