Which line art do you guys prefer

(Please do not consider the comics themselves in your answer I am purely asking about the aesthetics of the line art style)

2025-09-07 02:28:40 +0000 UTCIf we have to pick one, the "old" style is better for being more distinctive, more dynamic, and for sometimes adding to the overall "strangeness" of the art. Some of the best Rawdawg comics are a little inscrutable, and the rougher line art sometimes lends itself more readily to that.

2025-09-06 23:15:22 +0000 UTCI legitimately can't tell much of a difference between these two. I'd say as with anything artistic, though. Do the one you feel like is appropriate for what you're drawing. Fidelity or charm doesn't have to become exclusive. Maybe sometimes you'll want fidelity if you're drawing a busier picture. Maybe you're drawing a simple picture and the charm can be preferable. No need to limit or restrict yourself arbitrarily when it comes to art.
