Hello everyone!
Here’s the second update log for Gameverse Adventures 2.0.
Things are moving forward nicely, and I wanted to give you a quick look at what’s been done so far.
The most important step is that the foundation is now in place: the core code that runs the visual novel is complete and working.
With that set, I know everything from features to story elements can be carried over without issues.
On top of that, part of the interface has already been built. It’s functional, animated, and already gives a better feel of how the game will look in the future.
Finally, the very first section of the game — the tutorial — has been fully rewritten in Unity and is running properly, which means I can keep going from there with the same process.
From this point on, most of the work will be about expanding and polishing the game:
building the systems behind player actions and predation, rewriting the rest of the story, creating the remaining menus and dialogue interfaces, and adding the new character who will be there to help you at the start of your adventure (I’ll reveal them in a future update log).
There’s also all the behind-the-scenes work like controls, optimization, testing across different platforms, and probably a few surprises I’ll run into along the way.
So far, a lot of progress has been more about code than visuals, which isn’t always the most exciting thing to show off. But it’s a solid step forward, and the next updates will let me share more visible progress with you.
Thanks again for your support — it really helps me keep moving forward with this project! :D
I usually post some news about development on Discord, so feel free to join if you're curious ;)
