Vito here trying to buddy up to Adam with half assed cold takes about Harry Potter. Not to mention running protection on the superchats calling him out. Harry Potter as a "story about an alien" is just the trope "stranger in a strange world" and that's why it works so well. Harry is a boy who grew up like anyone else and is introduced into a strange new world, along with the reader. I'll readily admit it's not War and Peace (or any other book on Lex Friedman's book club list), but you can do better than misrepresenting it or making false equivalences. Sessler's rants were rife with misrepresentation too. "ohh these people aren't even journalists so Gamergate is deboonked" *mic crackle* Sess, I think 'people of play' just want ANYONE who's talking about games (their hobby) to be real with them, whether they're an actual journalist (like Nathan Grayson who you conveniently didn't mention), a youtube commentator or a g4TV. Shit, your Rev3 Games youtube channel you had going for a while seemed to be that, and I was a fan. Now you just seem like a jaded, solipsistic prick. Made for a frustrating though still entertaining episode. Left-field guest appearance too, I thought for sure we were about to see Adam Sessler's head with only the mouth moving and it being a bit crooked and different looking for some reason 🤣
