PS: it's okay if your input is a bit higher, like -8 to -6dB. I dunno what Sean's template is optimized for. Standard is usually around -12dB - everyone does it a little different. But by the sounds of it, you've got the input cranked, and then it's going through a compressor and then a limiter, causing distortion. If you do all that, and it sounds too dynamic, or not compressed enough (I dunno if you'll be able to tell), adjust the threshold knob on the compressor. But I doubt Sean would leave you fiddling with the Threshold knob, so I'm sure you've just got your input gain too hot. I think I can hear Dick coming in through the other mics, so that's another sign that the input is too hot.

In case this gets deleted from the Youtube comments.. Get your input just touching the yellow (-18 to -12dB), and put /that/ signal through Sean's template. Just guessing, but Sean probably has an EQ, a compressor, and a limiter in his template. If there's a compressor going into a limiter, dial up the "makeup gain" or the "output" on the /compressor/ before it goes into the limiter. Sean probably has the limiter set to -0.1 or -1.0 or something. That's the maximum output level - don't touch that one. Just bring up the output gain of the compressor until the level on the limiter is close to -1.0 or -0.1, whatever Sean has it set to. It's not gonna get any louder than the limiter allows. If you hear distortion, dial back the compressor output gain a little bit.
