Version 15 Preview: Brothel’s Grand Opening

Version 15’s release is right around the corner and I can finally talk about it in definitive terms! So let’s jump right into the preview.

Big Pimpin – The Brothel is Open

This update is all about the brothel. All of the 45 new images being added to the game are related to the brothel in some way, shape or form. You’ll be able to start visiting the brothel as soon as it’s built and either earning or spending coin as you desire.  

Each new level of the brothel – high-class, the red light district and the red light city – will unlock new workers to interact with while increasing the amount of money you’re able to obtain. You’ll also be able to assign followers and prisoners to the brothel, putting those directly under your command to work in one of the most lucrative ways possible.  

A Whole New View

The other major change occurring in Version 15 is the overhaul of the game’s overview. Now you’ll be able to more seamlessly transition from one screen/menu to the next – making the core game loop more streamlined and cutting down on the amount of clicks it takes to perform actions.  

The map size was reduced just a bit to accommodate the new overview, but you can also now drag the map with your mouse to scroll around. In the same spirit as these changes, there is now a small icon added to tiles you’ve visited but have yet to capture – making it easier to keep track of where you’ve already gone.  

Bug Fixes

In addition to the massive quality of life update that is the overview, there have been a number of tweaks and bug fixes that will hopefully make everyone’s experience more enjoyable/manageable. Buildings in progress now display the number of turns until they’re finished, female players should now be able to join Marcus without issue, and festival food now costs the amount of gold that’s displayed.
