Weekly update – Level up, new render and more

As promised, another weekly update from me. I had a few days off work this week so I managed to get quite a lot done.
First of all leveling up units is now fully implemented. The units get experience from every fight won (more exp for real combat, less for Arena fights) and once they reach a certain threshold you can level each unit and increase their combat stats and body, the menu for it looks like this:

Next thing I added was a nice little feature that was long overdue and the strategy gamers of you will really like. It is a detailed overview of where your income is generated and where your money goes to.

Last but not least I am also working on a new event chain and created a first render for it, here you can see a preview. Not sure how many more are to come (that will depend on how my progress continues overall).

Next week I will work more on the economic balancing of things, main task here is to change the unit maintenance costs to increase further the larger your army is. The general idea of this is to give you more options on how you want to approach the game – you can have a small army of elite units or you can have a large army of cheap units or you could even save your units from the game start on to level them up as high as possible.
