Weekly update - It's all about the right balance

Hello there everyone,

I decided to post weekly updates on the progress towards the next game version from now on and this is the first of these entries.

So I am already in the middle of development for version 13. As I said in a post some time ago I want this version to focus on balancing so that the third faction I am trying to add is both fun and challenging  for you. I have now finalized my plan for this, I did a bit of brainstorming on what I feel are some of the biggest problems with the current balancing. You can see the results of this here:

While I don’t expect you to be able to read all of the text (handwriting of a lazy 8 year old here) I think it shows nicely my process of coming up with solutions.

So the outcome is twofold: I will have some balancing to units and enemies and some balancing to the games economical aspects. I think the most exciting new I have in this regard is that you will be able to upgrade your units after they have gained enough experience from battles – that’s a feature which was requested a lot and it will also help mitigating some balancing problems. You will be able to improve both the combat stats of your units as well as their bodies so I think that should be a nice addition.

The economic balancing will be much more fine tuned and I hope I will be able to tell you more about this next week, so stay tuned!
