Version 8 of XXXivilization is finished and ready for download here.
Overall I am quite happy with the result as this version brings a lot of really nice new stuff for you, also more text has been added than in any previous release. Some things are a bit unfinished yet but I will enhance them in the next version.
There are three major new features:
- A new enemy kingdom has been added to the game: The Church of Abstinencia. You can have some interesting interactions with their diplomat and conquer them. Currently they won’t cause too much hassle for you, but this will change in the next version.
- You can now build a dungeon and in there have some fun with your prisoners
- The entire system of being able to do certain actions only once a week (conquer, train, pray) got reworked and is now based on an “Energy” resource that refills every week.

I sincerely hope you enjoy this release, if you find any bugs or have feedback please let me know either here or via the in-game mechanisms.
In the next weeks I will try a few things out and think about which way I want to go in the next versions regarding artwork, I will keep you updated as soon as I have come to a decision there.

I am not sure yet. Animations are certainly a possible next step after adding 3D renderings to the game. But I have to experiment around a bit more until I can really say how much additional effort and rendering time animations would mean. So I can't promise anything in this regard right now.

2018-04-21 19:03:11 +0000 UTCI really love how you starting to have a slave system and that your expanding the amount of body customization that the player has. The church of Abyssentia seems like a lot of fun. Seems like old saves have some bugs in them, but otherwise a great release! Also found a small bug with diplomacy on the edge case where you reach Aisstencia territory before meeting Jolene. This your best update in a long time and I hope you keep improving it.
