I also heard that it is very cultural. Like in Chinese culture the elder's word really matters and since Chi promised the mom, he really can't break it. But it's so sad that Dabao has less time with his mom. Like i just think the mom is sooo wrong for this.

He is definitely under so much pressure, but I feel like many viewers as the show was airing were focusing on Dabao's pain. But Chi Cheng is definitely going through A LOT. Also so funny when Senior mentioned that Dawei is a person of revenge ahahah. Like it really is better not to mess with him. He is sooooo petty.
