However, as you also said, that doesn't at all excuse the horrible things he did (especially considering what he inflicted on one of the only people who ever treated him with respect and even affection, Nie Mingjue). When you compare JGY's life with WWX's, one might actually argue that WWX's life was even harder and more miserable. Wei Ying, though, was never greedy for power, he never wanted to climb the social ladder and only strive to live with integrity and protect those who were weaker. That's what sets the both of them apart and makes one the villain and the other - the anti-hero. Also, you guys are catching onto stuff pretty quickly, I'm impressed ππ
