How to color a greyscale painting - Face

More explanation to facial "color zones"

Let's check out this color zone map! A face tends to have hue shifts from yellow to red and blue/teal. Very quick explanation: Its because of different areas of the face where skin is thicker and appears more "fleshy" while other regions are more filled with blood. This can change when a person has more fat because the blood would'nt appear that much through the skin. A good reference is always key tho. It can also change when it's cold outside. Many people get a red face when being too long in the cold.

This also applies to dark skin of course but with slightly different colors and switching the yellow and red part.

Hope this was helpful :) I didn't explain my painting steps cause yea I think it's obvious. It's literally what you see. Normal layer with the specific color and then switch to a blending mode. Let me know if you have more questions!

Stay sticky!
