Important: multiplayer features

I’m here to chew bubblegum and get my producers opinion on multiplayer integration. And i’m all out of bubblegum. In early NF3D prototype we had two completely different game modes: fully offline and fully online (when you were forced to login even if you don’t want to play multiplayer, because all players data stored on server side).   You could not use same characters for both modes even if you play same game on the same computer.

I think I have a better solution now. Let’s say, you have only one game build and save all your characters locally, playing custom battles or story mode (will be implemented later). And you have an option to send any of your characters to multiplayer tournament. Only from this moment you need internet connection and login/password. So the whole game itself save all your data locally, you play locally,  and only if you want to check multiplayer features you can additionally connect to server from the same game client. 

In two words: instead of having two game clients and two different  game modes you will have just one simple game, that will allow multiplayer connection only if you want to play pvp.
