Dear friends, your investigative reporting is second to none and we love you dearly but your interview skills require significant work. As soon as Bolduan admitted, in so many words, that she agrees with MSNBC's Chuck Todd and won't follow up because the interviewee may not come back, the whole rest of the interview was wasted. Nothing else she said means anything because she admitted that her work is the basic repetition of falsehoods. Your interview should have responded to that self-serving pablum by asking why her viewer must be the journalist while she is being paid for that. One of you could have noted that a lie is not information, it's just noise. She may as well be interviewing a foghorn. In fact a foghorn would have been less damaging because there are no words to be harvested for misrepresentation later. She is a basic part of the existential problem who refuses to play any role in the solution. Interviewing a liar only works when each lie is refuted in real time, otherwise it is normalized. If the liar doesn't come back, that's OK since there are lots of foghorns out there. I think SMN asked some good questions, and not against the idea of interviews, but it's so frustrating hearing such centrist, milquetoast people in this era.... MAGA/Trumpism is literally burning down democracy and the Dems/media are thinking about possibly calling the fire department, IF the fire doesn't listen to their strongly worded letters. ๐๐
