Usually when you implement a new tax, you say where that money is going to go, but we have implemented new taxes without saying where any of the money is going. (Speculation on my part, but bailing out big companies resulting in further wealth increases for already wealthy people is probs going to be part of it) Implementing a tax to “fend off drugs” and not saying what we are going to use those tax dollars for while cutting budges across the board seems… shady as can be.
