Resistance 2.0: How To Survive The Next Four Years - EARLY ACCESS, AD-FREE, & UNCENSORED

Hi. We've got a long road ahead until (at least?) 2029. Today we explore how Democrats are resisting Donald Trump's authoritarian surge and what individuals can do on the local level to help their communities.

Instead of whinging about the left victimizing you, take the criticism. Resistance 1.0 was an objective failure. Learn from it, don’t lionize it. Saying that’s the best we can do is the same as saying there’s nothing we can do.

Chuck

Shout out to KC Tenants Union.

Chris Mavis

Maybe if we start comparing all the authoritarian stuff they do to Stalin (instead of the equally appropriate comparison to Nazis), the GOP will be afraid of being commies and stop it.

Beth Potterveld

Sanders spread fascist propaganda and supported Trump's crimes against immigrants. He is absolutely a more effective orator than Jeffries, but he's no more on the side of good.

Sam Larson

The plain toast democrats we have just can't get in their own way enough. They love to posture and talk down to EVERYONE as if children, but have zero adult vertebrae to be intellectually aggressive and to fight smarter. Jeffries wishes he was a quarter of the leader Bernie is.

Jonathan isn’t also here :(

You know what's been fun, watching leftists rip apart Resistance 1.0 like we didn't do the best we could with what we had while nobody wanted to hear the alarms. It's a weird reflex on the left and it's tiring. /whinge Bon courage, friends. We be the cavalry.

Another way to look at is that leftwing parties want to reduce economic inequality, centrist parties want things to stay the same, and rightwing parties want to increase economic inequality. Leftwing parties in the US were destroyed during the Cold War, so the only 2 choices are Dems (centrist) or Repub (rightwing)

Andrew Carkner

Yes. We ARE good at disasters. And scared people in charge WILL try to convince you to acquiesce. DON'T.

David LaDuke

Holy Shrimp! Elon "madmanned" Trump! Trump's the baby sitter pooping everybodies' pants!

I had it pointed out to me that the Democrats are the real conservatives and the Rethuglicons are the radicals. The Democrats want to maintain or "conserve" the status quo, with only the most paltry of incremental improvements to keep the masses placated. Meanwhile, the G.O.P. (Grimy Outrageous Peons) want to change whatever they want to single-mindedly pursue power. That's part of the reason that they have no real stances on anything besides "be more stupid and evil than yesterday." That's why they [Democrats] didn't do anything when they had control of all three aspects of the government. No matter how many times we "pick the lesser evil," we're still voting for evil. We don't have a chance to actually pick someone for the government because the Establishment controls the Democrats and the sociopaths control the Republicans and they snuff out any other options.

Yoo No Hoo

One problem is that shutting down the government would stop the courts from functioning at all and so far is the only leverage. If the courts go silent because of the shutdown the only leverage vanished. The defense in detail, the legislative response, is the place to function. The capture-the-flag move of shutting the government down would be a trap. It's not like there'll ever be a senatorial conviction under an impeachment.

Robert White

Jeffies saying that last month broke my brain. The incompetence is endemic.
