I think flashback to Enron provides insight on why the DoJ slowrolled going after Trump: The inherit bias in favor of wealthy white men in not believing in their criminality. I think the slowness of the DoJ is not just due to Merrick Garland but folks within the FBI and DoJ that are sympathetic to Trump, MAGA, and white christian nationalists. Jack Smith should have been appointed immediately after J6 instead of over 2 years later.
