You quoted the Barbie movie and then somehow didn’t see how it clashed with Ben’s worldview: “We don’t want to go back to how things were”… If anything is a battle cry for the anti-woke it must be “Back to The Fifties (the 1850s)!!!” But seriously I do wonder how they can be so bitter and resentful about the success and appeal of certain stars and properties they consider woke, without ever noticing that the key ingredient is humor. A sense of humor. Conservatives are so torqued about things others find funny, without ever understanding the humor. It is actually not possible to explain jokes to them because their idea of humor is lynchings and wife-beating. Grievance animates their protest about “woke Hollywood” because they can never get laughs based on the subtleties of real humor; the part of the brain they were born without.

A lot of comedy doesn't really *make me laugh* and that's fine, but when Cody really gets going, he gives me a stomachache.
