That said, there is no more sure way to Trump 2028 than getting Sanders through the primaries. Hopefully, all these old bastards die soon and we can look at some actual new blood. Like, ideally, Biden doesn't make it through the second term he is about to win.

Of course he won't win - but then, of course Bernie wasn't going to win either. Whether a leftist runs in the Democratic primaries or under their own banner has no impact on whether they'll win, only on whether they lose in the Spring (against the Democratic Party's corporate control) or in November (against the USA's corporate control). The basic point of a leftist running for POTUS isn't to become POTUS - that's delusional - it's to put the leftist platform into the realm of public debate. The more advanced point - if someone would only do this part - is to help build an ongoing organization in all of the Congressional and state legislative districts that can challenge the duopoly at its basis, and where it's weakest.
