Maybe Credit Scores Shouldn't Be A Thing? – EARLY ACCESS, AD-FREE, and UNCENSORED

Hi. In today's episode, we look at how credit scoring bureaus were originally created to track debt (among other things) in America, how they've evolved into a bad-faith tactic for the rich to exert control over poor people, and how we need to revamp the entire system so we're not using an arbitrary number to evaluate a person's worth. A human being's worth not being tied to money? Imagine that!

I love this episode, it has so much good information. And I won't be able to listen to it more than once, because oh my GOD the chewing sounds. I have misophonia, and am barely able to handle it when Cody does the drinking ad. Great work, always glad to support y'all, but Jesus, those sounds.

It’s odd how credit scores are supposed to be a gauge on how reliable you are in repaying your debts but when you do payoff a debt, your score goes down. It’s almost like the scores aren’t meant to reflect good repayment behavior, but instead are a guess as to how much money lenders can make off you in loan interest before you default to maximize their profits.
