AN ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello there news listeners, watchers, and dreamers! Cody and Katy here, with the rest of the SMN team, to give an exciting announcement and update. The official announcement will be next week, but we wanted to let you all know that we've signed a deal with KAST Media to take over as our ad network and to host Even More News and Some More News within their podcast network. This means a few things moving forward and here are those things!

For one, Some More News will now be available in podcast form, along with Even More News in the same feed. The writing/presentation of SMN won't change from the video format, it will just now be available as a podcast for your precious ears and visual imagination if you prefer that. We will also get more sponsors (and thus more Warmbo-read ads during episodes), and tons more exposure via the KAST network and in the podcasting world in general. As in, we will have professional people actively working to get our shows into people's eyes and ears. We feel like it’s also important to note that this has nothing to do with the actual content of our shows. There will be no additional outside editorial input or pressure, that all stays the same.

What this really means is now we're going to be able to do and create quite a bit more. We're hiring more people, making more things. There will regularly be a new episode of Some More News every week to go along with the weekly Even More News episodes. We'll be able to develop and make more shows that aren't EMN or SMN, and give more time and focus to Patreon and everyone here. Without you and your support over the past few years, this literally wouldn't have existed and we wouldn't have been able to get to this point.

In addition to adding more content to Patreon, we also want to hear more from you about what you want from us. We want to be as transparent as possible, and bring you into the process. So what would you like? We will continue doing what we've been doing, and patrons will forever get ad-free versions of everything we make and early access to everything as well (this includes a new regular short video series called Some This, and other things we'll be working on). We'll continue the Google Hangouts, Behind The Showdy, Even More Q's. Cody is also developing a new Patreon-exclusive video series called The News Cube. We'll be experimenting here and trying things out, and this can mean anything from one-off sketches to new podcasts to, I don't know, music even!

As I said, we'd also like to hear what you want from this new phase of the Some More Newsiverse. Do you want more “behind the scenes stuff”? More access? More questions? Do you want an option to buy your own ads for whatever fake product you want us to endorse? There are no bad ideas (except maybe that last one), so leave comments and suggestions and questions below! We will also be doing a live Q&A on Monday, at 5pm PST for Patrons, so we can talk more about this then! It's going to be a weird transition, but it's also really exciting to be able to expand and bring more people into this silly, frustrating, fun ride we've been on. To put all of this in an unnecessarily jumbled way, this means some more Even More News and even more Some More News. Also? Some even more loving you very much (much).
