The Unvaccinated, Theranos, and Even More News with Natalie Shure - Ad-Free Version

Hi. In today's episode, Natalie Shure (@NatalieSurely) joins Katy and Cody to talk about why it's a terrible idea to make unvaccinated Americans pay more for health insurance and why it's good that Theranos' magic machine never got built. Plus, the whole group gets really into leaf peeping.

Katy, being sexually abused is not a death sentence. A person can recover. It takes lots of caring about yourself, seeking therapy, and time. Newsome has, as far as I can tell, and from what my sister has told me, been a good governor. My sister voted for him, and she is a card carrying Republican gun nut.My empathy for anti-vaxxers isscompletely gone. IMO, making them pay more for health insurance sounds like a great idea to me.

Maybe it's because I live in Chattanooga TN, an area that has a very high unvaccinated population. But I'm having a difficult time reconciling my desire to maintain empathy for my fellow human beings and my full blown apathy towards willful ignorance. Marjorie Taylor Greene's district is literally a few blocks from my home. There are so many people who are proudly unvaccinated. they are willfully acting against the best interest of the community and crippling our health care system. The point that was made about removing moral decisions from health care is an excellent one. I honestly hadn't considered it. However, I'm so completely fed up with unvaxed Red Hats... Don't the rights of individuals end where the rights of others begin? How many people need to die from otherwise treatable conditions because they couldn't get ICU or ER services? At some point don't people's individual choices need to have consequences?
