We have spent billions of dollars strengthening the military and police forces of governments that already don't have the best of human rights records... We do this while at the same time we (as a society) send billions of dollars to the criminal organizations that ultimately fill the demand for those drugs. Sadly it's the average people that are caught in the middle, the people that are most likely to decide that walking several thousand miles with their young children is a better risk than having them stay in their home country. Also worth mentioning is the criminals that are deported from the US aren't deported before they have served their sentence unless they are a nonviolent criminal and it's requested by an appropriate official. Otherwise, they generally serve at least 85% of their sentence (if Federal) and are then held for ICE and an Immigration Court hearing where they will be ordered to be removed and they will then be sent to their country of citizenship.

The Pentagon couldn't attribute the attack to Iran-based militias because that information was classified... you know because we were about to bomb them. Zoom Meetings are treated just like phonecalls; they don't release those... remember how everybody was surprised Trump talked to Woodward? But most of all: You didn't actually say what Biden should do with unaccompanied minors. Address the root cause, sure, but what do you do whith the ones you already have and will still come? Usually, these kids have someone waiting for them in the U.S., but the feds are required to make sure whoever they're meeting isn't an abusive asshole or wanted for sex crimes or something (which I think we can agree is a good idea). That takes time, and you have to do something with the kids in the meantime. What do you suggest? Also: the reason people are fleeing their home country isn't really because of US military action (although that doesn't help). It's because fo the Obama-era policy of focusing deportation efforts on sending violent criminals back to their home countries. And when they got back to their home countries... criminals be criminaling. But yes, everything else was fantastic.
