Oof, accidently deleted my reply. Beaseley I don't think the DNC is all one side, I think it's mainly controlled by moderates and conservatives and we on the left get bullied and threatened into voting for them, and it causes me to resent the DNC as an institution

Harry Moore

Abolishing the electoral college would mean people who call the midwest "flyover states" would then have most of the influence over those people without much recourse as concerned to executive power. Ranked choice voting would be a better choice

Harry Moore

Please don't consider the DNC as one whole side. They are an entrenched power bloc in the same vein as the various blocs of the R party. Not equal, but similarly not interested in good solutions that affect the very wealthy, and highly protective of their position against efforts by a majority of those on the same "side."

L. Ron Cupboard

I'd like to see the reporting on that. I do know that the governer of the state had more direct influence over the lives of its people than the president does. Maybe we can look into that. Also, your statement is why we need to abolish the electoral college, so that politicians care about the rural voter.

Also.... I think the idea that there is a side that cares about other people is flawed... democrats knew rural Americans in the midwest were desperate and they forced through Hillary Clinton.... who then went on to not even go to Wisconsin. I think if the DNC had actually given a shit about the part of the country they ignored we wouldn't have Trump. Some of those voters are so desperate to not go back to how shit was under Obama cause they were burning their houses down to collect the insurance to survive. It's not hard to understand why they don't wanna return to that.

Our whole town is basically open, and mask use hovers at around 60%. The mayor wants to get “Both sides” before deciding if a mask mandate is necessary.
