Hadn't thought of that. It doesn't sound like that to me, as they're not really laughing or escalating the joke, but there's no body language that you can read with these podcasts. Either way, I hope you're right.

Pretty sure that was sarcasm. Was this?

Maybe it's because it caught Cody and Katy as off guard as it did me, but those last 30 seconds gave me some extreme whiplash. For weeks we've been talking about how bad this pandemic is and I'm pretty sure the clips of people partying on the beach for spring break came up in a Some More News episode as being an extremely dumb thing to do... But then Will casually says he's going to a rave later and that he can't give those up and Cody and Katy just... say it's a good thing he's doing this? Either I don't know what a rave is or that's an extremely backwards message to end your podcast with.

One thing I had not considered was how disruptive my husband being home would be to flow of our mentally ill son's life. They are both equally stubborn and butt heads at the best of times; now, many days I go to sleep and wake up to their arguing. Before COVID-19, I was a non-entity unless needed; w/J. here, L. feels scrutinized & judged 24/7. The aggrevation is reaching such a peak that we've entered another destructive phase, & I have started mentally letting go of the paintings, keepsakes & objets d'art which have meaning to me, knowing that I may be awoken to my pet copper rutilated quartz chameleon, Bob, which I spent months shaping out of a rock I found on a landscaping project, being dashed to bits, or join a conversation & have to duck a framed print as it's frisbeed into the wall behind me. While I do understand the policy of having a ventilator available to every patient undergoing gen'l anesthesia, in case something goes wrong, for someone who's had nearly 30 ECT procedures in 18 mos., there should be a waiver available & some risk-benefit calc. (rather than a blanket cancellation of all ECTs for all patients). If this is what life looks like just two weeks after L's first missed ECT, I am terrified to imagine the downward slide the next 6 weeks might bring.
