I used to work at a shelter, and we still had to come in for our full eight hours, socializing and cleaning and taking care of the animals. There are no visitors on Christmas though, so it is a little lonelier than other days. But, at least at Maxfund, there is no day when the animals are left all alone, there is always someone giving attention to every animal every day. (P.S . I never knew anyone who complained about having to get paid to spend time with cats and dogs on Christmas)
