Trump's speech patterns are symptomatic of neurological damage or degradation. The very limited, & clearly diminishing, vocabulary may be due to decay in his memory pathways (though Trump's remarkable ignorance & profound stupidity are also a factor). The repetition may be what is called "Perseveration", where an individual idea, word & phrase becomes 'stuck' in short term memory. It's difficult to precisely define which (out of a myriad of potential mental dysfunctions) that Donald Trump specifically demonstrates, without comprehensive testing - including detailed fMRI examination - but that there is dysfunction is undeniable.

Cody, Katy, I know this episode isn't meant to be enjoyed while sleeping in bed, but you guys can't wake me up like this. First, you tell me that we're turning away Bahamian refugees, which is just disgusting, possibly more so than the way we handled Puerto Rico. THEN, you hit me with the bombshell that people were threatened to lose their jobs over the whole Trump wants to be an Alabaman weatherman thing which is just... scary? Disturbing? Another example of the slide into Orwellian horror our society is experiencing? I'm not sure how I can put this. It's scary on levels far deeper than just people losing their jobs for not agreeing with fearless leader. This is dangerous. Like, people could lose lives. What's the quote, "My opinions are worth as much as your facts?" Surely, I'm not alone in thinking this is some extremely worrisome news. It is members of our government literally creating false crises and attacking people who refuse to support it. I can't stress exactly how dangerous this could actually be if this becomes normalized or accepted to the point where, yes, the people responsible for informing the public about potential dangers and incoming disasters CANNOT BE TRUSTED. Imagine an America where you can't trust your severe weather alerts, because even though we have enough scientific equipment and method to predict severe weather, if someone in a position of power says it's going to happen here or not happen here determines whether or not people are properly informed of the danger. Am I doing a good job of stressing exactly how messed up this is? Lastly, that mid-roll ad. WHAT WAS THAT READ?! You guys are ridiculous, and I love it.
