I needed a refresher before I watch the second movie, so I figured we could celebrate the Halloween time together with this movie!

The funny thing is, like you said it's a bit darker than typical Disney stuff, but this might be one of those movies that was originally released by one of Disney's sub studios that they leaned into later. Hell, even Nightmare Before Christmas was like that. When it was in it's original run Disney kept their name off of it and released it under Touchstone lol.
