I can totally get some of the conspiracy theory and history jokes not landing for a lot of people (although I personally loved the "wake up sheeple" joke it had me rollin) but I feel like a lot of the history related humor is mostly in the first half of the season. Once you get deeper into more character episodes (mostly with Reagan and Brett) it gets better. So in the event this ends up winning another monthly poll further down the line I think you'd enjoy it more.
