The Bakerix episode has some subtle racist undertones as Roland stopped talking to Tom 20 years ago which from the Timebreaker episode we know is how long Tom and Sabine have been married so the "rice in bread" is a metaphor for mixed couple which is also why the picture of the wedding he clearly wasn't at was flipped down and why he had a hard time accepting Marinette was his granddaughter. As much as I wanna commened the show for tackling this issue I just can't cause they did it in a way to subtle way where you have to look into it to fine the lesson.
