Something I love about this show is, that while then being romantically involved isn't stated in the show, every thing we see them do for and to each other is exactly how I would expect an immortal long distance couple to do. Dumb pranks, snide remarks, in the moment breakups, and then a few decades down the line, back to getting drunk in the back of a bookshop. It's the sort of relationship that doesn't require romantic affection, but fits it so well

I imagine all the changes from the book Good Omens were things Neil Gaiman and Sir Terry talked about what they were going to do with the planned sequel to the book, if I remember correctly they had thought out the title as 668 Neighbor of the beast.
