honestly, the way I interpreted the kind of sloppy plan was something along the lines of like we KNOW how the tentacles work, it's kinda like they eat away at their holder's psyche in accordance with the holder's desires. Both Itona and Kayano talked about how the tentacles "spoke to them and asked them what they wanted" considering she's overheating to the point of combustion just after one fight, it seems to me like she was physically at her limit <:/ she probably LITERALLY could not wait any longer to pull off a plan under pain of death
