the more tactical side and world building is in the light novels to be fair a lot more inner monologue and describing how the tactics of war are used, there's even sets of maps of how each battle plays out and the key moments in the timeline in the back of the novels, the anime focuses more on visuals and the action side in comparison. mangas kinda a mix of both
