It was a little before your time. lol it really doesn't hold up today. It was pretty cheesy and existed solely to sell toys. I think though getting Kevin Smith behind it will help as when he wrote comics he brought both Daredevil and Green Arrow back to prominence in the comics, especially Green Arrow as he brought him back from the dead.

2019-08-21 00:55:44 +0000 UTCThought I'd throw this out there since it's tangentially related but it's been announced that Netflix is going to release a new Masters of the Universe animated series with Kevin Smith as the show runner. However, unlike She-Ra it will not be a reboot, but rather a continuation of 80s cartoon, though with the same studio that did Castlevania handling the animation so I'm expecting far more of an anime style show. (I'm never sure how to classify Castlevania and this upcoming MOTU series because even though if I remember it's an anime studio who does the animation but the show runners and writers are American.) For those unfamiliar Kevin Smith is a director best known for Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Clerks 2. If you haven't seen his movies I recommend them if you don't mind foul language. (In fact Clerks originally was rated NC 17 until he fought the rating pointing out that it was ridiculous to give it that rating simply for curse words.) He's also written comics for both Marvel and DC.
