2026-02-08 16:16:54 +0000 UTCTo be honest that bubble that came down to Luffy during Alabasta, was actually because he spat that out upwards before falling. He created his own luck. I think the show proves 2 things. Luffy has insane luck, but also, insane instinct. He does things when he "feels" things might go his way. You can call it luck, but imagine having that level of battle IQ and instinct. It's hard to lose when you are as strong as Luffy, as determined to get stronger, as creative, and as good at guessing when he can or can't do something. It's like how he is a good judge of character and can read people. He is smart in a way that makes him way more likely to beat enemies way "stronger".

Not his determination or his grit but just the plain luck of it. Not a lot of main shonen MCs win down to luck as much as him. That's my opinion still.
