From Now On - Book 2 chapter 1 - script

I've decited to start posting the script for book 2. I have also decided to jump straight into sketching the next book instead of waiting till next year. I hope to have a lot sketched before next year so I can start posting pages then.

From Now On, I’m Taking This Girl Under My Wing - Book 2

Chapter 1

Flashback to Sunday. (No type setting till Thursday)

Lily leaves Danny’s apartment and begins walking home.

Full page of her journey back home in the late afternoon. She arrives at her mom’s house and it’s empty.

Lily’s mom comes home later that night, and they have dinner in silence.

Lily goes to school the next day and talks with her friends.

Thursday

Lily comes home from school, watches TV, draws, etc… Lily’s mom comes home and they have dinner in silence again.

Lily’s Mom: “So, where were you this weekend?”

Lily: “I… went to Andrea’s house.”

LM: “Well, I called her mom. She said you haven’t been over in a while. Where were you?”

L: “I-I…”

LM: “You were gone for three days, Lily! Where did you go?”

Lily looks down. Her mom grabs her wrist and pulls her in.

LM: “Tell me!”

Lily looks away, closing her eyes. “No!”

LM: “Why!?”

Lily begins to tear up. “You’d be mad…” Lily starts to cry.

LM: “Fine.”

Lily looks up but then is shoved to the floor, knocking her and the chair down. Her mom stands up and goes to the front door. She grabs her purse and opens the door.

LM: “I don’t care where you go, but I want you out of this house before I get back.” She leaves.

Lily looks up to the door, still on the floor and lets her head fall.

Cuts to Lily’s bedroom. She puts a suitcase on the bed and opens it, she gathers her clothes and some belongings. She grabs the suitcase and her backpack then exits the room. She takes one good look before closing the door. Lily leaves the house and begins walking in the night.

Lily arrives at Danny’s apartment complex. She knocks on the door but receives no answer. She knocks again, no answer. She takes a seat on the steps. She sets her suitcase down beside her and removes her backpack.

She waits for Danny, she eventually gets cold and wraps a blanket around her from her suitcase. She then hears footsteps coming up the stairs. She waits excitedly. The steps get closer then she sees Danny walking up. Danny notices Lily on the stairs and stops, he looks up to her.

Lily: “Hi, Danny…”
