Fitness In Trance

Jinny had always wanted to work out. She really did. But between her comfy couch, binge-worthy dramas, and an uncanny ability to spot a McDonalds from a mile away, gym time always mysteriously vanished into thin air. That is, until she stumbled upon a flyer fluttering at her feet that read:

“Get Fit Without Even Knowing It! Hypnotherapy That Works. Literally While You Sleep!”

Naturally intrigued (and a little desperate), Jinny booked a session with Dr. Zynn, a hypnotherapist with mesmerizing eyes and a voice that made even the rowdiest toddler nap on command. “You want to be fit?” he said with a smile. “We’ll let your subconscious do the heavy lifting.”

And so, under soft lights and the gentle hum of calming music, Jinny sank into a deep trance. Dr. Zynn gave her a special post-hypnotic trigger: "The moment you step into a gym, you will enter a trance. You will perform an intense, full workout, guided only by your muscle memory and the drive to become stronger. When it is complete, you will wake, refreshed, energized, and blissfully unaware of the sweat you just poured."

It sounded too good to be true. But Jinny figured what could go wrong?

The next morning, Jinny wandered into the gym, her earbuds in, playlist cued... and bam! Just like that, her eyes glazed over, her body straightened, and she marched straight to the machines like a fitness robot on a mission. The moment she sat down at the lat pulldown, her hands gripped the bars like a pro and she got to work.

From an outsider’s perspective, it was poetry in motion. Her body was locked in with perfect form, grinding out reps like an Olympian on caffeine. She moved from machine to machine, climbed the stair master with determination, and did deadlifts like she was preparing for the Strongwoman Finals.

An hour later, just as she finished stretching in front of the mirror, snap! Her eyes blinked rapidly, her body relaxed, and she looked around like she had just stepped out of a dream.
“Wait… did I even start yet?” she mumbled, glancing down at her sweat-drenched shirt and aching muscles.

The soreness was real, but the memory? Nowhere to be found.

This became her new routine. Every day, Jinny would pop into the gym, zone out like a character in a sci-fi flick, and wake up an hour later leaner, stronger, and more confused. Her friends were baffled. “You’re getting ripped! What’s your secret?”
She’d shrug. “I guess... sleepwalking with weights?”

Now, Jinny's on her way to becoming a bodybuilding champion at this right. She just keeps showing up, triggered into fitness greatness, one blank-out session at a time.

No sweat... remembered.
