Whenever she puts on her favorite hat, her mind goes blank and she's hypnotized yet again. Her friends think it's hilarious, and find it fun to mess with her while she's in a trance. But all Maddie wants is to be able to keep wearing her hat without becoming blissfully obedient when it's on.
