2025-06-22 03:46:21 +0000 UTCThe news report mentioned “no evidence of human combustion,” so /unless/ human combustion did exist before the (Failed) Cataclysm, the ending is back to ‘now.’ . Have seen it presumed that Cataclysms reduce the world’s detail by 1 dimension (so, pre-Cataclysm was 3D, post-Cataclysm is 2D), but what that misses is that the Cataclysm itself was a /failure./ . Technically, there probably “weren’t” two sides with the church, ‘Raffles’ just didn’t future-proof keeping people inclined toward combustion. He /made/ the cult, mankind investing in Adolla advancements could have been absurdly more overt with no fear of death by fire, he just didn’t think ahead to humanity seeing that as a problem/inconvenience. . I don’t recall whether or not we have ever seen Evangelist and that guy in the same room at the same time. They might still be two separate entities, but they seem to be on the same page as far as goals.

I'm curious if the blonde hair on crazy Shinra is because of the connection to Amaterasu? We knew Yona was the founder of the church; he revealed it in the episode where Beni fought Obi. It was a little less explicit in this translation but Inca was more clear that they were gonna bang when she told Shina he was going to love her. Apparently the phrase she used translates closer to 'make love to Inca'. I just find the difference significant considering her power.
