If you see us reacting to something without her, it usually means we're covering a show that we think might be underappreciated by the wider community (sometimes we accidentally find a hit, though โ lol!).
Adorkable is reserved for the TRIO shows โ the ones in the greatest demand by The Collective. Basically, if I think 20 people are gonna watch Solo Leveling, but only 10 people are gonna watch Orb Movements Of the Earth, then out of all the shows for Director and me to react to by ourselves, weโll choose the one that only 10 people would watch. This way, the greatest number of members from The Collective get to see Adorkable in the shows they really want.

There are merits to having the Sibyl system in place and hear me out before everyone puts me on a watchlist ๐คฃ. Sibyl with a VERY HIGH percent accuracy identifies potential criminals, matches people's aptitudes to determine their most efficient career path and more, lets say 80-90% accuracy for the sake of this argument I don't know what the real numbers are. On the criminal aspect the biggest downside is that not everyone who is a potential criminal has the inclination to go out and do crimes. Like the old detective, he can think like a criminal and so he has knowledge and capability but that doesn't mean he is going on a crime spree. As for the career path I don't know if you can only chose from what Sibyl says you qualify for or if you can decide to ignore Sibyl and do what you want. It would suck to have something you like doing but being forced to do something else for the rest of your life. As for everything in life I'm pretty sure the rich and powerful have ways get around the system to avoid consequences for the most part so these arguments exclude them from the equation ๐คฃ. It all comes down to what we as a society are willing to compromise on to reduce crime and increase work efficiency. I am sure there are some people who would be ok with the price for Sibyl but I hope that the majority understand that we the PEOPLE should be the ones making decisions and living with the mistakes and NOT handing power to our AI overlords ๐

2025-05-17 07:57:25 +0000 UTCOld grizzled detective dude having a high crime coefficient from his work, because he genuinely cared and learned to think like a criminal in order to catch them, shows just how unfair the system is. It's designed in a way to dissuade anyone, even those with the task of enforcing it, from applying any kind of critical thought. If you do you become a criminal as well. Just point your gun and shoot. It's such an obvious metaphor for real-world police work and law enforcement but dressed up in such a cool cyberpunk dystopian way and I love it so goddamn much.
